Lifting Laser Treatment Korea

What are Lasers?

Here in Korea, aesthetic procedures, varying from surgical to non-surgical and invasive to non-invasive treatments,  are widely known, and it has become an integral part of our culture. Additionally, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with one’s desire to enhance their features or look more presentable and eye-catching. It only means one values themselves more than others, be it superficial, which entails self-love, and it has been a vast concept in the current generation. With this, Korean technology keeps evolving and adapting to the changing demands of its people, one of which is lifting lasers.

Lifting lasers are aesthetic medical-grade procedures that combat the physical manifestation of aging caused by various reasons. In one of our articles, we have defined aging as the physiological changes that happen during our lifetime. Eventually, the cells in our body slow down their production with continuous decline over time, and these changes manifest physically. In aging, two factors contribute to it, namely intrinsic and extrinsic. Intrinsic aging is also known as cellular aging. You age because the cells in your body are programmed to gradually stop as time passes, and time is its substantial contributor. Meanwhile, extrinsic refers to environmental factors, such as pollution, stress contributors, smoke from cigarettes, nutrition, alcohol, and sun damage. Everything around us that is somewhat beyond our control.

With this came the birth of lifting lasers and laser resurfacing. Have you always wondered how Koreans have the perfect glass and glossy skin? The secret is the procedures found in Seoul and Renovo Skin Clinic. Since the most common problems in aesthetics are skin sagging, acne scars, and lesions, laser resurfacing treatments like Laser Genesis, IPL, and Fractional C02 lasers are what you will need. For skin sagging, Ultherapy, Shurink, and Liftera are the ultrasound-based technology you will need to look like one of our famous Kpop idols and artists.

Laser resurfacing and lifting laser procedures are great treatments to achieve a youthful Kpop-like appearance. Laser resurfacing aims to improve the appearance of the skin by penetrating deep into the skin’s surface and helping address and elevate the appearance of the skin while lifting lasers help with the lifting and tightening effects and the stimulation of collagen and elastin production via a natural process.

How do laser lifting and resurfacing work?

Ultherapy, Shurink, and Liftera are FDA-approved and recommended lifting laser treatments that target the areas under the skin using ultrasound energy with the aid of a controlled and mitigated temperature for collagen regeneration stimulation. Since this procedure stimulates collagen and elastin production via natural processes, it results in firmer and tighter skin that reduces the appearance of facial wrinkles.

On the other hand, Laser Genesis, Fractional C02 Lasers, Fraxel, and IPL are also FDA-approved and recommended non-surgical skin resurfacing treatments that transmit lasers or heat into the skin without damaging the surface of the skin or other tissue layers. It also varies from ablative and ablative lasers via C02 lasers, Erbium (Er: YAG) lasers, fractional lasers, and IPL (intense pulsed light).

Difference between skin resurfacing laser treatments?

C02 lasers are typically ablative that treat acne scars, skin lesions, wrinkles, and other deep skin issues. On the other hand, Erbium lasers and Fractional lasers can be ablative and non-ablative lasers. Erbium promotes collagen production that treats skin laxity, age spots, wrinkles, and fine lines. At the same time, fractional lasers transmit tiny beams into the skin to diminish the appearance of acne scarring and hyperpigmentation. Lastly, IPL is not technically a laser, but its procedure is significantly similar to the above-stated laser treatments that treat hyperpigmentation, rosacea, acne, sun damage, and vascular lesions.

Difference between skin lifting laser treatments?

HIFU Shurink or Shurink Universe uses High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU), a new and improved variant of the High Intense Focus Ultrasound that is a non-invasive and non-surgical procedure that transmits ultrasonic waves onto the skin. Ultherapy, on the other hand, utilizes Micro-focused (MFU) energy to tighten and lift the skin by stimulating the production of collagen without disturbing further layers of the skin. Overall, the three lifting procedures differ in the process and application and the technology used to administer the treatment. However, all medicaments have similar effects and goals.

Others:

Since there are plenty of skin resurfacing and lifting treatments, you must first assess your goals and consult with your dermatologist to fully grasp your options. Additionally, they will be able to help you in choosing the treatment combination you want for your skin. Please note only a board-certified cosmetic surgeon or medical practitioner can administer these procedures to avoid scams and undesired further skin issues. Additionally, the frequency of your treatment highly depends on your skin condition and intensity and your dermatologist’s recommendation. Non-ablative lasers have no downtime, meaning you can immediately return to your routine after the treatment. However, ablative lasers require you to follow the necessary precautions to achieve optimal healing that ranges from two to three weeks. On the other hand, you will immediately feel the effects of the lifting laser procedure after the treatment, although you will see the best results in three to four weeks. Again, its frequency depends on your dermatologist, although one to two sessions often is enough.
